Nasal Reconstuction
Rhinoplasty is a procedure that can help change the unwanted characteristics of your nose. By removing, rearranging, or reshaping bone and cartilage, the desired nose may be obtained. While many choose rhinoplasty to change the shape of their nose, others may choose nose surgery after a facial injury or to help relieve nasal obstructions. The best candidates for this procedure are healthy individuals with realistic expectations. Most cosmetic surgeons do not operate on younger patients until they have completed their growth spurt, usually mid-to-late teens. There is, however, no upper age limit for nose reshaping and reconstruction. This procedure is commonly performed under intra-venous sedation or general anesthesia. Most of the changes will be apparent within three weeks, while finer refinements may take up to a year.
