Laser Skin Reconstuction
Many facial conditions such as acne scars, irregular surgical or traumatic scars, superficial pigmented lesions, fine wrinkling, and frown lines may be reduced or eliminated with this simple and safe procedure. The carbon dioxide laser allows for a precise interaction between laser and tissue, and is generally a safer alternative to other methods of facial rejuvenation. This procedure can be performed under intravenous sedation or general anesthesia, and in conjunction with other facial cosmetic procedures that include blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), endoscopic forehead lift, and facelift. The best candidates for this procedure are those with fair, thin skin that has a tendency toward fine wrinkling. This procedure is usually not recommended for highly pigmented skin, such as Asian, African, and Mediterranean complexions.

This procedure will not prevent aging; however, laser skin resurfacing can erase, fade, or reduce fine facial wrinkles. Other facial imperfections are also eliminated with this procedure. Prior to this procedure, consult your cosmetic surgeon and carefully think about your expectations.  Improvement, not perfection, is the goal.
